Google Play Books is not currently being offered by Draft2Digital.
Google Play Books required all authors set up direct accounts and name Draft2Digital as the service provider (rather than to allow D2D to publish to Google Play on your behalf as other stores do). These requested changes required significant manual interaction from our authors and our team which goes against our driving ethos of making publishing easy.
The publishing system that Google Play was requiring Draft2Digital to work with wasn't designed for an aggregator like Draft2Digital. We support more than 500,000 authors. Our attempts to work these new requirements out programmatically were met with resistance. When we requested that Draft2Digital be identified as a service provider, that too was rebuffed by the Google Play team.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but Draft2Digital will not be able to work with Google Play at this time.
