Two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA) is a security method that requires two separate, distinct forms of identification in order to access your account. The first method of verification is the password you set in order to log in. So, when you enable 2FA, it adds a second layer of protection that bad actors must get through before accessing your account.
Because your account contains information about your identity, taxes, and earnings, we highly recommend you secure your account with two-factor authentication. You can do so under ACCOUNT > Account Settings.
Beneath your personal information you will see a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) section. Click the SET UP 2FA button to get started.

At Draft2Digital, you can select multiple methods for authentication:
- SMS Texting - We will send a text message to the phone number you input. You'll need to type in the token to Draft2Digital to verify. Be sure to input a phone that is able to receive text messages and that you will have regular access to when you want to log in.
- Email - We will send you an email with a log in token. You will need to be able to type in (or copy and paste) the token into the Draft2Digital website to verify your identity.
- Application - A software generator application must be installed on your phone or desktop for this option. (for example Google Authenticator (for Android), or Google Authenticator (for Apple), Authy by Twilio (Android and Apple), or Microsoft Authenticator (Desktop, Android, and Apple)
If you later change your mind about 2FA, you can return to your account settings and disable your two-factor authentication. We strongly encourage you to take measures to ensure the safety of your account.
