Audiobooks require a more flexible format, like Word (.doc/.docx) or ePub. These formats allow for easy Optical Character Recognition (which is the search/find feature on most files), necessary for narration and audio production.
The main reason for this is that audiobooks rely on the spoken word and need a format that can be easily navigated and modified by voice actors, producers, or in Digital Narration the AI software system.

PDFs, being primarily designed for print, do not offer the required adaptability for audio conversion processes.
Therefore, to create an audiobook, we need your manuscript in a Word or ePub format. If you only submit for print publication with a PDF file format through our service, audiobook creation will not be available to you.
